Senior Vice President of Global Operations and Integrated Supply Chain, Allegion

Cindy Farrer is senior vice president of global operations and integrated supply chain for Allegion.

In this role, she is responsible for Allegion’s global production capabilities and global supply chain relationships.

Cindy has extensive career experiences in manufacturing and supply chain, spanning 35 years in a variety of roles – from production management and engineering to quality, procurement and lean manufacturing – across companies like General Motors, Delphi Automotive Systems, Ingersoll Rand and Allegion.

Most recently, Cindy served as Allegion’s vice president of global supply management, where she oversaw direct and indirect spend, supply management tools and processes, as well as supply strategy and risk management. Prior, she was vice president of Allegion’s Americas operations with responsibility for 12 plants and distribution centers across Canada, Colombia, Mexico and the United States.

Cindy has managed global organizations and plants, as well as held a six-year assignment leading Delphi Automotive’s electronics manufacturing facilities in Reynosa, Mexico. There, her operations were awarded the prestigious Shingo Prize for Manufacturing Excellence.

Highly involved in her community, Cindy recently served as chairman of the board for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis and is still actively engaged with the organization. She also actively engages with her alma mater, Purdue University, through both the Industrial Engineering School and Krannert Supply Chain programs. Purdue has honored Cindy by inducting her into the Purdue Cooperative Education Hall of Fame in 2014 and, more recently, naming her a 2020 “Outstanding Industrial Engineer.”

As a mother of four daughters, a female executive and someone who has worked to support and inspire other women in manufacturing, Cindy was also honored by The Manufacturing Institute as an inaugural STEP Ahead Award winner in 2013.

Cindy holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
