Vicki Holt

Former President & CEO at Protolabs

Vicki has 40 years of experience in world-class manufacturing companies in various executive and roles.  She recently retired after serving seven years as President & CEO of Proto Labs (NYSE PRLB), a leading online and technology-enabled quick-turn manufacturer of custom parts for prototyping and short run production. Proto Labs helps companies accelerate innovation, reduce risk and optimize their supply chains by providing quality prototypes and on demand manufacturing services at unprecedented speed.  The company utilizes computer numerical control (CNC) machining, injection molding, and additive manufacturing to manufacturer custom parts for our customers.  With operations in the United States, Europe, and Japan, the company is services the largest geographic markets where product developers are located.

Previously, she served as President and CEO of Spartech Corporation, a $1.2 billion NYSE company focused on delivering sustainable plastic solutions to customers in the sheet, compounding and packaging markets.  Vicki successfully sold Spartech Corporation to a strategic buyer, PolyOne Corporation in March, 2013, delivering significant shareholder value and providing synergies for the business to accelerate its business transformation.

Vick is currently a member of the Board of Directors at Waste Management, Houston, TX, Piper Sandler Minneapolis, MN and A.O. Smith, Milwaukee, WI.  She also served on the board of directors of Watlow Electric, St. Louis, MO until the sale of that company in January, 2021..  She also serves on the board of the Manufacturing Institute and is on the Board of Trustees at Dunwoody College, Minneapolis, MN.

Prior to joining Spartech Vicki was the Senior Vice President of PPG’s Glass and Fiber Glass division where she was responsible for $2 billion of global sales of glass and fiber glass products into a broad set of end use markets including commercial and residential construction, renewable energy, automotive, energy infrastructure, appliance and consumer products.  Vicki started her career in 1979 as a sales representative with Monsanto Company in New York.  She worked for 23 years in numerous positions at Monsanto Company culminating as Vice President Acrilan and its spinoff company, Solutia.  She was the Vice President of Performance Films at Solutia before joining PPG in 2003.  She has moved several times in her career with several assignments at the St. Louis headquarters of Monsanto and Solutia.

Vicki earned a chemistry degree from Duke University and received a Masters of Business Administration from Pace University. Vicki is passionate about sustainability and is exploring opportunities to pursue her passion and make further contributions.

Vicki and her husband Curt live in Wayzata, MN.    She has two children, Lauren, 33 and Matt, 30, and three grandchildren.  She enjoys gardening, exercising and cooking.
