Join the Manufacturing Leadership Council at the Task Force Tips factory in Valparaiso, IN for an opportunity to tour the facility and learn about how innovation and culture have been key driving forces for a highly integrated manufacturer of firefighting equipment. Additionally, you will have an opportunity to see how Task Force Tips has leveraged some of the latest technology, such as additive manufacturing, collaborative robots, CAM Software, a highly customized in-house anodizing line, 5-axis machining centers, and data analytics and combined it with a culture open to change and challenge.

This Task Force Tips facility is an excellent representation of a highly integrated manufacturer that is dedicated to designing, manufacturing, assembling and testing critical firefighting equipment that is used every day around the world to save lives and protect property.

TFT CNC Shop Floor:  TFT has over 40 CNC machines on site including 12 5-axis machining centers, wire EDM and a high pressure waterjet.

Anodizing: TFT leverages a high degree of process integration with their own in-house anodizing line. TFT also performs in-house plastic injection molding, rubber injection molding, powder coating, laser engraving and label making to help quickly deliver highly customizable products to their customers.

TFT Automation: TFT is increasing the use of collaborative Universal Robots in some of their more automated machining centers. They are also using additive manufacturing processes in their tool room to equip these cobots with custom ends.

ASRS: TFT is a high mix low volume manufacturer that builds to order almost 8000 unique finished good SKUs and supports the in-house assembly department by inventorying over 10,000 unique parts in their numerous automated storage and retrieval systems.
