With the advent of the digital transformation initiatives of Smart Manufacturing and Supply Chain Optimization, his primary focus is to be a “trusted advisor” to enterprise customers on their strategies: by understanding their challenges, leveraging technology and assisting them with innovative solutions for meeting business priorities.

Hugh is passionate for finding new ways to help his customers with the understanding that IoT and predictive analytics, ubiquitous mobile devices, cloud and virtualization, global security impacts and software-centric virtualized networks are impacting almost all levels of businesses processes and IT architectures.

He has over 30 years of vertical domain expertise, having worked in IT (with Cisco and AT&T); industrial automation (with Rockwell Automation) for manufacturing customer Goodyear; US government aerospace R&D (NASA Glenn Research Center and NASA Goddard Space Flight Center); heavy engineering and construction in the energy/petrochemical sector (Fluor); and in the chemical process industry (with Exxon Chemicals Asia Pacific).

Hugh has 17 technical publications and is certified for CISSP, CCNA, PMP and ITILv3. He has a MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, a MS in Mechanical Engineering from SUNY at Buffalo, as well as a BSME. He resides in Frisco, TX with his wife Myra and they have three grown children.

that influence direction. He leads Design Research in the Office of the CTO, developing new tools for designers, engineers and makers. His work includes leading research on generative design, a disruptive tool for the automotive, aerospace and advanced manufacturing industries.

Prior to joining Autodesk, Mark led design teams in start-up, client, agency and corporate environments where he utilized his expertise in consumer product design, broadcast entertainment and user interface design. Mark has created products and experiences for Palm, Lucasfilm, LG, Sony and Netflix, including work in feature film, television and games. Mark holds patents for data visualization, interface design and mobile hardware and is a frequent speaker and judge at international design and innovation events.

Having worked in the technology industry for more than 36 years, Jim brings a unique vision to the real world use of technology and its powerful advantage in driving customer success.

Jim’s career has spanned route sales, distribution, corporate management and deployment of major technology initiatives. He was responsible for the successful deployment and use of what was recognized as breakthrough “automated distribution systems” in the early 1980s, and later transitioned to managed, deploy and train distribution systems across 30-plus subsidiaries of a major food and beverage company and managed major deployment projects across the consumer-packaged goods industry.

Moving to technology in the early 90’s, Jim has led teams that pioneered the evolution of the system to include extended mobile data capture, order management, and effective vendor-managed inventory – helping enterprises to realize significant operational improvements.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Kentucky, College of Business and Economics and lives in Lexington, Kentucky.

David Meek

David came out of industry where he put his engineering and computer science training to work deploying manufacturing and supply chain systems.

David joined IBM in 2002 and has deployed ERP, Supply Chain, Analytic, IoT and AI solutions to a variety of manufacturers in electronics, chemicals, agribusiness, consumer products and both upstream and downstream oil & gas companies. In the last three years, David has driven the use of AI in the manufacturing environment and help shaped IBM’s offerings and solutions for Industry 4.0, IoT and cognitive. David is IBM’s Global Leader for IBM’s Cognitive Plant advisor which uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve business results from manufacturing processes.

Irene Petrick

Dr. Irene J. Petrick received her Ph.D. in manufacturing and strategy in a joint degree from the Colleges of Engineering and Business at Penn State University in 1997.  Petrick joined Intel in 2015 and is Market Innovation Director for the Industrial Solutions Division in Intel’s Internet of Things Group.

Prior to that Irene was a faculty member at Penn State University in the College of Information Sciences and Technology (2003 – 2015) and the College of Engineering (2000-2003) where she taught undergraduate and graduate courses in concurrent engineering, process quality engineering, digital design, corporate innovation strategy, information integration in the enterprise, and human factors engineering.  Her research interests include technology forecasting, 3D printing and distributed production, collaborative innovation and business ecosystem development.  She has been actively engaged with companies in their innovation and technology strategy activities for over two decades, including work with twelve Fortune 100 companies, the U.S. military, and a wide variety of small to medium sized enterprises. Petrick has been principal investigator or co-principal investigator on projects totaling over $8.2M. She has been named a Boeing Welliver Fellow, a CSC Faculty Intern in India and has won both College and University teaching awards. Prior to joining ServiceMax, Lubor led corporate-wide product marketing at OpenText, the leader in Enterprise Information Management. During his tenure, OpenText’s revenue grew from $725 million to $1.9 billion and the company completed more than 20 acquisitions.

Before OpenText, Lubor worked at EMC, Documentum, and Novell. From 2011-2015, he also served on the Board of Directors for the Association for Intelligent Information Management (AIIM). Lubor is an accomplished presenter and recognized thought leader with active social media presence. He holds a Computer Science degree from the Technical University Ilmenau, Germany and an MBA from Santa Clara University in California.

Doug Reeder is a Senior Director of Innovation in the Office of the CTO at NTT DATA Services. In this role he manages a portfolio of innovation accelerators and helps clients define and achieve their business objectives, develop innovative new capabilities and competencies, and implement strategies to advance top line and bottom line growth for customers and the company. Prior to joining NTT DATA Services through the acquisition of Dell Services, Doug was the Chief Technology Officer of Commercial Industries.

Throughout his career, Doug has envisioned the future and made it a reality in the information technology and telecommunications industries, by designing, developing, and bringing to market innovative technology products and services that help organizations succeed. He previously worked with leading technology organizations including Dell, Perot Systems, Nortel Networks, and Electronic Data Systems (EDS).

Doug has a rich background as an innovation expert and strategic foresight leader identifying, evaluating, and assessing the potential of new technologies, business models, and processes and in bringing new value to customers and the company. He is an accomplished business technologist, strategist and thought leader with a patent in wireless technology (assigned to Apple, Inc.), and has authored and co-authored various articles, papers, and book contributions.

Doug has degrees in economics and finance and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Dallas, is ITIL v3 Foundations certified and completed a Strategic Foresight Certificate at the University of Houston in the College of Technology Future Studies. He gives back through various volunteer and community activities, teaching, mentoring, and advising start-ups and non-profit organizations. He has served as a Tri-Chair Leader of the Innovation Team at Tech Titans and currently serves on the Board of Directors at InterLink of North Central Texas, helping to bridge the gap between educators and the future needs of the workforce.

His operations experience includes: plant manager, general manager, multi-site management and global supply chain leadership. Prior to entering consulting he led Kohler’s supply chain operations for the Americas. His consulting experience includes five years with PwC’s Strategy & Operations practice, supporting companies as they transformed their manufacturing and supply chain operations.David has an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University (Canada) and an MBA from Western University (Canada).

Mr. Thomas focuses on manufacturing operations management strategies and solutions to support global, complex discrete manufacturers.

Mr. Thomas spent 12 years with Volkswagen of America as part of the IT leadership team, responsible for manufacturing, distribution, finance and dealership management systems. As Vice President of IT for Ross Roy Communications, his organization was responsible for developing many of Chrysler Corporation’s original web sites and interactive advertising programs. Thomas has also held senior management positions with BRAIN NA and Descartes Systems and industry positions with Baan and Novell.

Mark Wheeler is the lead for warehouse and plant floor solutions for Zebra’s North American manufacturing vertical. Mark has more than 30 years in the industry concentrating on warehouse and plant floor operations.

Mark is responsible for Zebra’s manufacturing and warehouse mobility solutions business in North America. In this capacity, Mark works with customer’s supply chain operations teams across all industries as well as Zebra’s product development teams for the plant floor and warehouse solutions space.

Mark has held numerous positions in supply chain execution including strategic consulting, automated warehouse design and build, and complex systems integration.

Mark is a frequent speaker at industry events. He received his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Carnegie-Mellon University.
