About Niall Geoghegan: Niall Geoghegan, Director of Operations for Winnebago, is a manufacturing and supply chain general manager with multi-sector experience and a track record of achieving consistent increased profitability. Join us for our next Critical Issues Panel Debate – What a Digital Leader Needs to Succeed

What are the most effective leadership qualities, skills, and behaviors that will best support a company’s transformation and future growth in the digital era? Join our expert panelists to explore the essential sets of competencies tomorrow’s manufacturing leadership role models will need to drive digital success in your organization.

Moderator: David R. Brousell, Co-Founder, VP & Executive Director, Manufacturing Leadership Council, a division of the NAM.

Panelists:

Session Description: More than 80% of respondents to a recent Manufacturing Leadership Council survey say that a new leadership playbook is required for the digital era. In addition to traditional market, financial, and people leadership skills, manufacturing leaders need to develop a new layer of competencies called digital acumen.

This new layer involves understanding the potential of new technologies to create new competitive advantages, re-designing decision-making processes to leverage real time data availability, and managing increasingly information-empowered employees in a collaborative working environment.

This MLC “Critical Issues” panel discussion will address these points:

  • How manufacturers can assess the digital readiness of their leadership teams.
  • How manufacturers can devise a digital leadership framework that will identify critical competencies, build technical know-how and leadership capability, and drive transformation
  • How manufacturers can achieve “digital sustainability” by learning to adapt and thrive in the digital economy.

Each panelist will have about 10 minutes for their presentation. Panelists are encouraged to use a slide deck — 16:9 PowerPoint widescreen — for their presentation. After the presentations, the session will be opened to allow MLC members to comment and ask questions.
