Global Manufacturing Chief Engineer, General Motors

Raghuram Attaluri is the Global Manufacturing Chief Engineer for electric vehicle programs at General Motors. Attaluri is responsible for the manufacturing strategy for Battery Electrical Truck (BET) product programs and autonomous vehicle architecture, which enable GM’s vision of a world with zero crashes, zero congestion and zero emissions. Most recently, Raghu led the manufacturing transformation of GM’s Detroit-Hamtramck Factory ZERO Assembly Plant, including defining capital investment and operational metric targets and ensuring program execution.

In his 25-year career at General Motors, Attaluri has held many roles throughout the organization, championing multiple greenfield launches and supporting the company’s international manufacturing operations in India, South America and South Korea.

He earned a Master of Science in Industrial Technology from Eastern Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science.
